Homepage
Your Homepage is the main landing page of your site. It’s built and edited just like any other page — the only difference is how it’s assigned in WordPress. You may also hear this referred to as the Home Page or Front Page.
Table of Contents
Set a page as the homepage
To assign a page as your Homepage:
- In the WordPress dashboard, go to Settings → Reading
- Under Your homepage displays, select A static page
- Choose your desired page from the Homepage dropdown
- Click Save Changes
Once selected, that page becomes the front-facing entry point to your site.
Edit the homepage
To update your Homepage content:
- Go to Pages
- Find and open the page currently set as your homepage
- Edit content using blocks, just like any other page
- Click Update to publish your changes
There’s nothing special about how the page is built — it uses the same editor, blocks, and patterns as the rest of your site.
Replace the homepage
If you need to make a major change — like a redesign or a seasonal variation — you can create a new page and assign it as the Homepage:
- Create and build your new page under Pages
- Go to Settings → Reading
- Update the Homepage selection to your new page
- Click Save Changes
This approach lets you prepare and review a new experience before making it live.
Note: Changing the Homepage does not delete or alter the previous page — it simply removes it from the front-facing position.
